Defining case scope and data scope

NABD provides you with the ability to assign specific cases and define a data scope within NABD. This allows you to grant access to specific types of cases and information in NABD. Do you want a specific role to only view confidential cases? Do you want certain organizational units to be able to view customer contact information?  You can do that here.

To configure case and data scope:

  1. From your left main menu, select Security.

  2. From the Security menu, select Authorization.

  3. From the Authorization menu, select Case data management.

  4. On the Case Data Management page, click Add.

  5. Select the domain type you can select from organizational units, user groups, roles, and users. Then you can also select a specific organizational unit, user group, role, or user. The sample below shows a specific user.

  6. Select the case management permissions you want to give the selected domain you can select Grant all or select Belongs to a case management unit, or Customer contact viewable. You can also select the case classification Strictly Confidential, Confidential, or Normal.
